What they're looking for
- 5+ years of software engineering experience working on projects from 0 to 1
- Experience owning substantial parts of a developer tool or system through design, launch, and ongoing operation
- Systems programming experience in C, C++, or Rust
- Experience with or interest in Web technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript and/or React is a huge plus
- Interest in AI-powered developer tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Pi
- The ability to turn ambiguous developer needs into practical solutions, work independently, and learn unfamiliar tools and systems
