About the role
The role spans the investment lifecycle – sourcing and thesis development, founder meetings, market and competitive research, financial analysis, diligence, investment memos and IC discussions, deal execution, and portfolio support. You’ll also help us continue building Roo. We’re constantly improving how we source, evaluate, and support companies, and we want the Analyst to contribute to that rather than simply inherit an existing playbook.
What they're looking for
- We’re looking for someone who is driven, intellectually curious, resourceful, and eager to take ownership early
- You should enjoy digging into new markets, developing a point of view, and being willing to defend it. We want someone who takes initiative, builds relationships naturally, and is excited by the process of finding and understanding great companies
- We expect most candidates to have 1-3 years of professional experience, with investment banking and buy-side among the backgrounds that translate naturally to the role. Prior venture capital experience is not required
- Above all, we’re looking for someone who wants to learn the craft of investing and grow quickly within a small team
