About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on Tax & Compliance Operations Lead to build and run the systems that help Slash meet its tax obligations and operate responsibly as a growing financial technology company. You’ll own the day-to-day work while building a durable operating framework: clear policies, reliable filings, strong controls, and audit-ready records. You’ll work closely with Finance, Legal, Product, Operations, and our banking and external partners to translate changing requirements into practical processes. What they're looking for
- 5+ years of relevant experience across tax, compliance, accounting, or financial services, experience in a fintech, bank, or other regulated company is a plus
- Strong working knowledge in at least one of the two core areas—tax or financial services compliance—and the judgment to manage the other with support from Legal or specialist advisors
- Experience owning complex deadlines, external advisors, audits, or regulatory and partner reviews
- Ability to turn complex requirements into clear processes and controls
- Clear, concise communication and sound judgment when facts are incomplete
- A builder’s mindset: you can handle today’s work and make the process better for the next person
