About the role
Own systems that automate repetitive work across browser and desktop, handling concurrency, reliability, and observability at scale (millions of executions per month) Collaborate with our CTO and ML research partners to bring state-of-the-art agentic workflows into production
What they're looking for
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can ship fast and solve problems end-to-end
- You’ve built and operated distributed systems at scale, with a high standard for reliability, observability, and performance
- You’re proficient across all layers on the backend, from infra to CI/CD to DB to backend service architecture
- You’re fluent with the latest AI coding tools and are always looking for ways to move faster
- You’re open to working 5 days a week out of our office in NYC (we’ll cover relocation!)

As a backend engineer, you’ll work directly on our AI orchestration systems to enable reliable, scalable, durable workflow execution across desktop and web. You’ll collaborate with our frontend team to surface that to the user in a way that is easy and intuitive.
