About Spectral Labs

Developer of a generative artificial intelligence technology designed to improve productivity for 3D professionals. Backed by Khosla Ventures.

About the role

Spectral Labs is building foundation models for engineering physical systems. We're looking for a simulation physicist to make physics a first-class part of how our models learn and how we judge them: building simulation pipelines, including FEA, CFD, and multiphysics, that run at scale on generated geometry, turning simulation results into training data, rewards, and evaluations, and working with research on what our models need to get right. Found on 1752vc Careers, the job board for startup and VC roles.

More about this role

Spectral Labs is building foundation models for engineering physical systems. We're looking for a simulation physicist to make physics a first-class part of how our models learn and how we judge them: building simulation pipelines, including FEA, CFD, and multiphysics, that run at scale on generated geometry, turning simulation results into training data, rewards, and evaluations, and working with research on what our models need to get right. You bring 7–10 years of experience in computational physics or engineering simulation, deep knowledge of numerical methods and at least one major solver, and the programming skills to automate it in Python or C++. Experience combining simulation with machine learning is a big plus. We're excited about people who can make an impact, whatever their background.

This is a fully in-person role at our office in SF. Compensation and equity total $300–400k annually. We sponsor visas end-to-end, and benefits include health insurance (with a 100%-premium option), dental, a 401(k) match, and company-expensed meals and commuting.
