About the role
We're looking for a Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist to own the import/export function at Standard Bots. That means HTS classification, tariff management, customs filings, freight coordination, and making sure every component we bring in and every product we ship out moves fast, stays compliant, and doesn't cost us more than it should.
What they're looking for
- - 3-5 years of experience in import/export logistics, trade compliance, or a similar role -- with hands-on experience managing customs entries and HTS classification
- - Working knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, tariff schedules, and trade compliance frameworks (CBP, BIS, OFAC, EAR)
- - Experience with HTS classification for manufactured goods -- mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical components preferred
- - Familiarity with Section 301 tariffs, duty mitigation strategies, and tariff exclusion processes
- - Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers
- - Detail-oriented and organized -- you maintain clean records, catch errors before they become problems, and document everything
