About the role
In this role, you will architect and build high-performance client-side data rendering engines from scratch to visualize tens of thousands of data points smoothly. You will collaborate closely with Designers, Product Managers, and Front-End Systems Engineers to define cutting-edge data visualization paradigms that reduce cognitive load and prevent visual fatigue for Stripe's users.
What they're looking for
- 2+ years of relevant web front-end development or creative technology experience in a tech-forward, product-driven company
- Advanced experience with React, modern TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/Sass, and modern web application architecture
- Demonstrated experience building interactive web charts and visualizations using tools and libraries such as D3.js, Recharts, SVG, Canvas, or WebGL, with a focus on data density and visual-perceptual hierarchy
- Proven track record of writing clear, elegant, well-tested code in a collaborative team environment
- Deep experience designing and developing web applications that function seamlessly across modern browsers, screen dimensions, and devices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively alongside technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
