About the role
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll build the systems and tooling that raise the floor for every engineer at Sydecar. You'll join a collaborative, high-trust team that values ownership, thoughtful execution, and a sustainable pace. Your work — faster pipelines, reliable infrastructure, safer releases, and a stronger security posture — will be felt across the entire engineering organization. This role suits an engineer who is energized by force-multiplying others and treats internal teams as customers.
What they're looking for
- At least 5 years of software or platform engineering experience in modern languages (TypeScript/Node.js a plus)
- Depth in one or more platform areas: CI/CD and developer tooling, cloud infrastructure and reliability (infrastructure-as-code, observability, SLOs, on-call), release engineering and test automation, or application/infrastructure security
- A track record of measurably improving developer velocity, system reliability, or release safety at scale
- Demonstrated experience leveraging agentic / AI-assisted software development workflows
- Strong problem-solver for edge cases and system scaling, with an ownership mentality and a bias toward paved roads over gates
- Excellent collaborator and communicator with an enablement mindset — you treat internal teams as customers and help others move faster
