What they're looking for
- BS in Mechanical Engineering discipline or any other equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a hands-on mechanical engineering or design role
- Pertinent experience in the robotics industry or other relevant field
- Knowledge of SolidWorks. AutoCAD, other CAD software and FEA is a plus
- PLM experience a plus
- Experience in design and drafting standards

We are looking for an Advanced Mechanical Engineer to join our Cell Engineering team. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for working on the creation, modification and improvements of robotic equipment used in warehouse automation in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will work as a member of the team in the conceptualization, design, analysis, fabrication and testing of Symbotic's automated material handling equipment.
The Cell Engineering team is responsible for developing the robotic work cells and automation equipment that enable us to palletize, depalletize, and manipulate products and cases. The team develops equipment in-house but also works with 3rd party suppliers and design partners to specify complete material handling solutions.
