About the role
The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions. We are seeking an experienced Architect to help us design, plan, and carry out our construction projects in cities across the world!
What they're looking for
- Apply a first principles approach to design production: simplify requirements, delete unnecessary process steps, optimize, accelerate production, and automate
- Assist in the design of tunnel support structures and underground connectors, and support high-level planning and concept design for stations and alignments
- Support coordination directly with individual hotel and property clients to ensure station and connector design aligns with their brand and property style
- Assist project teams in the production of quality documents from initial concepts to construction documents
- Interface with Structural, Civil, MEP, and in-house teams to ensure design intent is carried through across disciplines
- Research building codes, materials, and industry guidelines to develop details and comprehensive and constructible drawings
