What they're looking for
- 8+ years of engineering experience, including a minimum of 4+ years managing engineers or engineering teams
- A track record of building and leading high-performing teams that ship industrial-strength systems software
- Strong technical depth in distributed systems or databases, experience with C/C++ on large code bases is highly desirable, but not a must
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL internals is a strong plus (but not required)
- Solid knowledge of SQL, query processing and database engines, concurrency control, data replication, and/or distributed systems
- Passion for building highly reliable system software and for developing the people who build it

We’re looking for an exceptional engineering leader for the Database team, which owns TimescaleDB , and more products crucial for the business. You’ll lead multiple teams focused on dedicated areas of the product, own the execution of the team, take stake in creating an achievable roadmap, establish a bottom-up culture, stay close enough to the tech to help make design decisions, and be an awesome person to work with.
