About the role
Run the risk cadence for the customers in your portfolio: regular reporting, the risk content in quarterly business reviews, and the risk pack itself. Explain why approval rates and thresholds are set where they are, and deliver threshold and guarantee tier changes with the rationale behind them.
What they're looking for
- 8+ years in payments risk, merchant underwriting or risk consulting, including time in a customer-facing role
- Customer-facing risk experience at a payments company, or pre-sales and solutions consulting at a risk or decisioning vendor, with direct exposure at executive level
- Ability to build a deal-level expected loss view and explain the assumptions behind it to our commercial team, Finance and the customer
- Experience explaining loss and return performance to a customer and agreeing a remediation plan
- Working knowledge of guaranteed payment economics
- A record of moving decisions you do not own, such as a pricing, product or threshold change agreed with other teams
