About TryNearby

Local creators for local businesses. Backed by Y Combinator.

About the role

This isn't a standard sales role and it isn't a standard growth role. It's a mix of both. You're the quarterback for growth here. Some deals you close yourself. Some you get other people in a position to close. Either way you're the one organizing it and leading it.

What they're looking for

  • 3+ years owning a number. Sales, partnerships, business development, or an ops or finance background with real sales experience
  • Able to drive regularly
  • You've closed deals yourself, without a big brand name doing the work for you
  • You build systems
  • Willing to build your own tools. You don't need to code, but you should be the type to put something together with AI tools instead of waiting on engineering
  • Good with small business owners. This isn't enterprise software. The person across from you is busy and has a lot going on
