About the role
Vast is developing next-generation space stations and space infrastructure using an incremental, hardware-rich, and low-cost approach. Vast is rapidly developing its multi-module Haven Station to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing, and unlocking a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers.
What they're looking for
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace integration, mechanical assembly, or high-reliability hardware manufacturing
- 2+ years of direct experience leading, coordinating, or supervising technicians in a production, laboratory, or cleanroom environment
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering assembly drawings, electrical schematics, harness routing layouts, and work instructions
- Hands-on proficiency with precision measuring equipment, torque tools, pneumatic/fluid lines, and specialized mechanical hand tools
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, ESD containment, and aerospace quality management principles
