About the role
Verse Medical is a tech-enabled healthcare supplier providing specialized medical products and equipment nationwide. Our proprietary software platform automates traditionally manual workflows across intake, clinical documentation review, coverage determination, and billing.
What they're looking for
- JD and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (NY admission or eligibility for in-house registration)
- 10+ years of legal experience, with substantial time spent on healthcare regulatory matters
- Top decile attention to detail. Your work product is frequently flawless and “ready to ship” once you are done with it, you’ll act as the “quality check” for all of our compliance related activities
- Demonstrated depth in federal healthcare fraud and abuse law, applied to real commercial structures you helped design or defend, not just issue-spotted
- Hands-on experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid reimbursement, coverage and payment: documentation and medical necessity standards, claims denials, and the audit and appeals process
- Commercial contracting range: you have owned payer, provider or enterprise agreements end to end, and you can tell us which terms you fight for and which you trade
