About the role
The AM Equipment & Process Manager owns Vulcanforms' laser powder bed fusion platform end-to-end — from machine health and vendor relationships to process parameter development and production build management. This is a manager role at the intersection of equipment ownership, people leadership, and product development. The ideal candidate brings deep LPBF technical expertise combined with the ability to build and lead a team of operators and maintenance technicians, both internal and external.
What they're looking for
- STEM degree (Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field)
- 5+ years of direct LPBF experience, with demonstrated expertise in process parameter development and new product introduction
- Hands-on experience developing and qualifying parts in high-performance alloy systems
- Prior experience managing or leading technical teams, including contractors or external vendors
- Experience with vendor management and production operations in a manufacturing environment
- Strong cross-functional communicator able to align engineering, operations, and external partners

- Own and manage the LPBF equipment fleet, including maintenance scheduling, performance monitoring, and lifecycle planning
