About the role
You will be our first network engineer. This is a hands-on role with full ownership of design, deployment, automation and operations. You will work directly with the founders and the platform engineering team.
What they're looking for
- Design, deploy and operate leaf-spine datacenter networks, including the edge and the out-of-band network
- Run the internet edge: BGP with transit providers and peers, routing security, and DDoS protection
- Lead new site turn-ups from planning to handover: cabling plans, device staging, validation and acceptance testing
- Manage network configuration as code, with a source of truth, templates, automated checks and zero-touch provisioning
- Direct remote hands, cabling vendors, carriers and hardware vendors. Our sites have no on-site staff
- Build monitoring and alerting for the network. Use the data for capacity planning

Build WarpBuild's datacenter network from empty racks to production traffic. Run it and grow it to new sites.
WarpBuild runs fast CI runners for GitHub Actions. We are building our own bare-metal infrastructure in colocation datacenters. We are a small team, and every engineer owns a large part of the product.
