About the role
The Equipment Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing the substrate manufacturing equipment. This role combines hands-on Equipment ownership and operational excellence with applied engineering analysis, ensuring consistent equipment stability, product quality, yield improvement, and process stability and OEE. The engineer will also contribute to data-driven research and improvement initiatives to advance equipment capability.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering. Candidates from Computer Science with exposure and interest in Hardware and encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in SolidWorks , or equivalent engineering software will be added advantage
- Programming/data analysis skills: MATLAB, Python, C++, or R will be added advantage
- Knowledge in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Structural Mechanics will be added advantage
- Experience in technical report writing , field data collection, and equipment condition assessment
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in operational environments

- Provide Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting support to Manufacturing.
- Data Analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements. Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and maintaining automation equipment and processes.
- Assist in designing, testing, and implementing automation solutions, including hardware and software components.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation improvements.
- Support the integration of control systems, sensors, actuators, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize performance.
