About the role
WD is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join our wafer manufacturing team. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about semiconductor manufacturing and solving complex technical challenges. As a member of the Manufacturing Process Engineering team, you will work alongside experienced engineers, technicians, equipment specialists, and cross-functional partners to develop, optimize, and sustain advanced processes such as Wet Etch, Snow, Liftoff, and Electroplating in high-volume manufacturing.

- B.S. with 2 Years or M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, microfabrication, research laboratories, or other technology-focused environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to interpret data and identify trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to work effectively both independently and in collaborative team environments
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as JMP, Python, SQL, Minitab, SAS, or MATLAB
- Internship, co-op, or manufacturing experience in semiconductor processing or wafer fabrication

- Perform failure analysis on defective wafers, disposition wafers on hold, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive achievement of yield, cost, and cycle time goals.
- Evaluate and qualify new equipment, materials, and processes.
- Implement and optimize APC, SPC, and process control schemes.
- Document processes and provide training to the manufacturing team.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
