About the role
Support the month-end close process through the preparation of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and monthly fluctuation analyses, helping ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial results. Support the monthly marketing accrual process by gathering inputs from Marketing stakeholders and preparing accrual calculations related to campaigns, agency relationships, and partnerships with high-profile athletes, influencers, and brand ambassadors.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, public accounting experience is a plus
- Foundational understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles
- CPA candidacy or interest in pursuing the CPA is a plus
- Strong Excel skills, with comfort working with large datasets
- Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or a comparable ERP system is a plus

As a Staff Accountant, Corporate Accounting , you will play a key role in supporting the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of WHOOP's financial operations. You will support critical areas of the month-end close process, including fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, expense management, and balance sheet reconciliations. This role offers broad exposure across the organization through partnerships with Marketing, Manufacturing, Legal, Operations, R&D, and Finance teams. This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong technical foundation, gain a deep understanding of WHOOP's business operations, and grow within a high-performing accounting team.
