- Strong software engineering experience and the ability to contribute production-quality code in a large, evolving codebase
- A generalist mindset with meaningful depth in backend, distributed systems, infrastructure, data systems, or developer platforms
- Excellent debugging instincts: you can move from an imprecise report to a reproducible problem, root cause, and robust fix
- Comfort operating in production, using logs, traces, metrics, and code to reason about system behavior
- Bias toward action without sacrificing engineering quality, you know when to make the contained fix, when to invest in a broader solution, and when to escalate
- Clear, empathetic communication with both deeply technical and non-technical stakeholders
