About the role
As a Safety Programs Lead on the Policy team, you will be responsible for operationalizing, auditing, improving and managing Applied’s safety programs, incidents response process, and internal safety reporting. Operating within an independent safety function, you will provide oversight of safety, identify emerging risks, and ensure that safety processes are consistently applied and defensible within global regulatory frameworks. What they're looking for
- 5-7+ years of experience managing safety systems in highly regulated transportation industries
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field
- Background in operational safety, risk management, or safety assurance within a fleet, logistics, or engineering environment
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and present insights to engineering and management audiences
- Demonstrable ability to operate independently and make sound safety judgments
- Good understanding of industry-relevant standards and guidelines (e.g., AV, automotive, industrials or similar)
