About the role
This role will report to the Director of Hardware Engineering and be responsible for hands-on support of electro-mechanical assembly, integration, and troubleshooting in both production and R&D environments. This position is ideal for motivated candidates with strong mechanical and electrical skills who are eager to develop their skills. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. What they're looking for
- Assemble mechanical sub-assemblies and finished units following engineering drawings, BOMs, and written work instructions
- Route, terminate, and inspect wiring harnesses and electrical connections in accordance with assembly documentation
- Lead integration of electrical components (motors, sensors, actuators, PCBs) into mechanical structures
- Perform functional checkout and basic verification testing of completed assemblies
- Diagnose mechanical failures including misalignment, fastener issues, wear, and tolerance stack-up problems
- Test equipment – power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, continuity testers – to identify wiring faults, open circuits, and component failures
