About the role
The Operations Partner is a critical logistical role essential to Bird's success in Detroit, MI. You will take responsibility for the logistics of the local fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring they are charged, safe, and positioned correctly to meet the community's transportation needs.
What they're looking for
- Storage Space (Asset): Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for maximizing earnings (allows for overnight charging)
- License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, must be able to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment
- Availability: Flexible schedule with a willingness to regularly operate on weekends
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet
- Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Detroit's local geography
