About the role
The Business Product Compliance and Partnerships team serves as strategic compliance advisors to Block's business teams, partnering with them to define product launch requirements, identify corresponding controls, and provide ongoing compliance support throughout the product lifecycle. What they're looking for
- 8+ years in the compliance industry, with direct experience in payments, merchant acquiring, or commerce platform compliance
- Strong regulatory knowledge, specifically in areas pertaining to AML/BSA, Payment Card and Network rules, Consumer Protection, Privacy, and electronic marketing and communication regulations
- Experience as an embedded compliance partner to Product and Engineering teams - comfortable operating in agile environments and influencing product decisions without slowing velocity
- Proven ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into actionable controls, policies, and procedures
- Experience with core compliance program activities: risk assessments, issues management, testing and monitoring, regulatory exam support, and regulatory change management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to articulate compliance requirements to technical and non-technical audiences, and document control requirements clearly
