About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the AI Enablement team, you will build the internal platforms, primitives, and guardrails that make AI a trusted co-pilot for employees across Chime. You’ll work on systems like Archimedes , Bosun , and easyRAG that power internal AI assistants, developer workflows, and retrieval-backed applications. These platforms make it easier for teams across the company to build, adopt, and scale LLM-powered tools safely and effectively.
What they're looking for
- Significant experience as a software engineer building distributed systems, platform services, or internal developer tools
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs or ML services and shipping production-quality features on top of them
- Strong coding skills in at least one of Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript , with comfort working across services, CLIs, and internal tooling
- A platform mindset: you think in reusable primitives, contracts, and paved roads rather than one-off solutions
- Familiarity with AI-specific engineering concerns such as evaluation, prompt and version management, observability, cost control, safety, and data privacy
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders such as Security, Risk, Product, and Operations, and influencing direction through strong technical judgment

You’ll partner closely with Platform Engineering, Security, Risk, Legal, and product teams to build scalable, well-governed systems that support internal AI use cases from early prototyping through production adoption.
