The EHS Manager leads all environmental, health, and safety activities at Coherent’s Sherman, Texas manufacturing facility. The position reports directly to the Regional EHS Leader, United States, maintains a dotted-line relationship with the Sherman Site Leader.
The EHS Manager serves as the site’s primary EHS authority, manages a small team of site EHS personnel, and owns the implementation and continual improvement of the site’s EHS management system and programs. These responsibilities include occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental and permit compliance, process safety, emergency preparedness, radiation and laser safety, contractor and construction safety, hazardous materials management, wastewater permit compliance, air permit-by-rule compliance, the Emergency Response Team, the Toxic Gas Monitoring System, and EHS training.
