What they're looking for
- J.D. (or applicable equivalent) with 7+ years of relevant transactional experience in-house or at a leading law firm, with active licensure in a U.S. state
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and structuring complex fintech commercial agreements, with a track record of closing high-stakes deals with sophisticated counterparties
- Proven ability to independently own deal execution end-to-end, from term sheet through closing, across multiple concurrent transactions with cross-functional stakeholders
- Track record of building scalable legal processes (playbooks, templates, deal frameworks) that accelerate deal velocity and reduce legal bottlenecks
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality

As Senior Counsel on the Business Legal team, you'll negotiate and structure the commercial agreements that power Coinbase's most strategic partnerships.
