About the role
We're hiring a Director of Tax to build and own Fetch's tax function end to end across direct and indirect tax. You'll establish the strategy, processes, controls, and operating model needed to manage our federal, state, and local tax obligations while building infrastructure that can scale with the business. What they're looking for
- 10+ years of progressive tax experience, with meaningful ownership across U.S. corporate income tax and state and local tax
- Experience building, leading, or significantly scaling an in-house corporate tax function, not just operating within an established one
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate taxation, ASC 740, and indirect tax
- Experience managing income tax provisions and tax compliance for a complex, multi-state business
- Ability to translate complex tax issues into clear business implications and practical recommendations
- Strong systems orientation and an interest in using technology and automation to build scalable processes
