About the role

Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules to maintain accurate financial records. Support month-end and year-end close activities by analyzing transactions, resolving variances, and meeting reporting deadlines.

What they're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related business operations supporting journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Experience working with general ledger activity, account analysis, and month-end close processes
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, macros) and other Microsoft Office tools for financial analysis, documentation, and presentation of accounting conclusions
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
  • Experience supporting accounting operations in a large corporate or shared services environment
  • Experience preparing balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries

Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant, you will support the Operational Accounting organization through the monthly financial close process, including preparing and uploading journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and maintaining accurate supporting documentation. You will analyze, verify, and record financial transactions in accordance with GAAP, while reviewing financial reports and preparing variance analysis as needed.
