About the role
As Full-Stack Software Engineer III in Guidewire’s Product Development & Operations (PDO) organization, you will build and evolve core Application Platform capabilities that power the world’s leading P&C insurers. You’ll design, develop, and operate secure, reliable, and performant services and UIs across the stack, using modern engineering practices, cloud-native architectures, and AI-Agentic development.
What they're looking for
- Strong proficiency in using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin and ability to adjust or learn other languages if needed
- Experience with coding agentic environments (such as Claude Code, Codex, and similar tools) and automation tools
- Strong understanding of both relational and non-relational databases and data modeling, comfort writing or reviewing queries
- Experience building APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Previous experience building on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container-based deployment (Docker, Kubernetes) is strongly preferred
- Excellent ability to break down ambiguous problems, propose pragmatic solutions, and iterate quickly in a high-paced AI-assisted development environment

You will join a team that is enabling Guidewire’s enterprise customers and partners to design, configure, and execute at scale insurance products across a wide range of the P&C domain.
You’ll contribute to the development and secure, scalable cloud operations of Automation solutions like Autopilot Workflow, Business Rules, Document Processing, and Application Lifecycle Management administrative interfaces.
In doing so, you will help Guidewire transform how P&C insurers operate by combining digital, core, analytics, and AI in a cloud platform that puts customer success first.
