Ibotta is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. This role will play a key part in driving the success of our business by owning core month-end close processes, conducting first-line reviews of staff work, leading process improvement projects, and building strong cross-functional partnerships across the business. What they're looking for

  • 3-4+ years of overall general accounting experience. Public accounting (audit) experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred), CPA or CPA candidate preferred. Deep understanding of US GAAP
  • Strong Excel skills, experience with NetSuite and FloQast is preferred
  • Demonstrated capability or prior experience reviewing work, providing feedback, or mentoring team members
  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, strong adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and a track record of meeting deadlines

Ibotta is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. This role will play a key part in driving the success of our business by owning core month-end close processes, conducting first-line reviews of staff work, leading process improvement projects, and building strong cross-functional partnerships across the business.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position, requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States .

Prepare and manage assigned monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to close deadlines. Areas to include cash, prepaids, accrued liabilities, cost of revenue, payroll-related accruals, and other areas as needed.

Perform monthly expense flux and variance analyses, evaluating trends and performance metrics in partnership with FP&A to support strategic decision-making.
