- You've owned a program, not just events. You've held an annual calendar and a budget, made the call to kill something, and defended it
- Experience directing someone else's work. Formally or not. You can set a standard and hold it without doing the task yourself
- Commercial judgment. You think in meetings created and pipeline influenced, not attendance and swag
- Vendor and budget command. You negotiate hard, track every line, and don't get surprised by an invoice
- Unflappable on site. Something always breaks. You fix it without escalating and without visible panic
