About the role
Build the capabilities and businesses that expand Laminar’s reach. Working directly with the founders, you’ll identify promising opportunities, test their economics, and lead them from concept through launch.
What they're looking for
- Prioritize new ventures across industry verticals, geographies, partnerships, and customer offerings
- Build business cases, define milestones, and recommend capital and headcount commitments
- Launch initiatives such as an expert-advisory offering for major manufacturing customers
- Recruit initial teams and work with engineering and commercial leaders to deliver results
- Contribute to company planning and fundraising through financial analysis and evidence from new initiatives
- Scale, revise, or stop initiatives based on results, then lead them permanently or transfer ownership

Despite decades of industrial automation, much of what happens inside them remains remarkably invisible. Manufacturing is the most ubiquitous and foundational sector in global economy, yet the way factories are fundamentally run have used the same control philosophies, manual operations, and legacy software for the past 60 years.
Laminar deploys state-of-the-art patented sensors and edge hardware directly into live production environments, generating data that didn’t previously exist to build foundation models deployed in factory floors that understand chemistry, composition, quality, and material state in real time.
