About the role
As a Senior Export Control Specialist at Linero, you will be a core member of the team and the company’s subject-matter expert on U.S. export-control regulations. A central part of your role will be performing export-control classifications across a wide range of products, technologies, software, and technical data. You will work across both EAR and ITAR , determining the appropriate jurisdiction and classification and developing clear, defensible records supporting those determinations. - Demonstrated hands-on expertise with both EAR and ITAR classification
- Strong command of the Commerce Control List, ECCNs, EAR99, U.S. Munitions List Categories, and ITAR jurisdictional analysis
- Ability to independently analyze technically complex products and reach well-reasoned, defensible classification conclusions
- Experience working with engineers or other technical stakeholders to understand product functionality, performance, specifications, and end use
- Strong regulatory research skills and the ability to interpret dense, nuanced regulatory text
- Exceptional written communication, your classification rationales are precise, clear, and capable of standing up to internal or regulatory scrutiny
