What they're looking for

  • 3+ years building and operating physical server infrastructure you can point at. You have racked it, cabled it, sized its power, and successfully debugged issues after deployment
  • Experience with Linux server administration, network troubleshooting, docker deployments, productionizing systems
  • Experience in configuring Linux systems, applying best practices, and automating workflows with Ansible and scripting
  • Hands-on with bare-metal provisioning: PXE/netboot, cloud-init, golden images, and firmware or BIOS configuration through Redfish or IPMI
  • Real networking depth: VLANs and subnetting, DHCP and DNS, firewall policy, link aggregation
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes on fixed capacity
