This role combines technical depth with hands-on engineering and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Design and conduct experiments or simulations, collect and analyze data, report results, and use findings to improve future work. Develop equipment, devices, components, tools, or processes needed for quantum engineering and research. Collaborate across hardware, software, and algorithm teams to understand subsystem requirements and interfaces, troubleshoot system-level issues, and validate integrated system performance. Apply engineering best practices to improve reliability, repeatability, scalability, quality, and performance. Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including methods, results, operating procedures, and guidance that other teams can reuse. Identify technical risks or roadblocks, investigate failures, and communicate recommendations and progress to stakeholders. Uphold safety, security, compliance, and secure-by-design practices in laboratory, engineering, and collaborative work.
