About the role

The Clinician Licensing Specialist will be responsible to cross license current and newly onboarded therapists in multiple states. This role is crucial to ensuring that our therapists meet all of the necessary qualifications and credentials to deliver high-quality care to our Members. What they're looking for

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience of behavioral health clinician licensing experiencing preferred
  • Knowledge of state specific credentialing/recredentialing requirements preferred
  • Experience with obtaining licensure for providers across multiple states preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving, analysis and resolution
  • Knowledge of credentialing standards/regulations and NCQA accreditation preferred

Contract Clinician Licensing Specialist

The Clinician Licensing Specialist will be responsible to cross license current and newly onboarded therapists in multiple states. This role is crucial to ensuring that our therapists meet all of the necessary qualifications and credentials to deliver high-quality care to our Members.

  • Initiate and process cross license application for all Therapists
  • Maintain good working knowledge of state licensure requirements and timeframes to obtain licensure
  • Outreach to state licensing boards regarding status updates on providers’ licensure
  • Communicates clear licensing workflow instructions to therapists and follows up on all action items.
  • Maintains up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing databases and CAQH
  • Ongoing follow-up with providers to ensure timely completion of required documents
  • Prioritizes submission of licensing applications and supporting provider materials to state agencies
  • Regularly follows up with state agencies on licensure status and responds quickly and effectively to ad hoc requests
