- A few years of experience building production-grade software, with a track record of owning complex problems end-to-end — mid-level engineers ready to stretch and senior/staff+ engineers alike
- A product mindset — you care about why you're building something, not just how
- Genuine fluency with AI coding tools, and the judgment to know when to trust them and when to override them
- Comfort with lean product engineering principles, TDD, SOLID, DDD, CI/CD — you don't need convincing, you already work this way
- Sharp instincts for how your work translates into business impact
