About the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer — an individual contributor who owns a product surface end-to-end. At this level, you work independently on your surface and are guided on novel domains. You own a product surface within Care Finance's provider and partner platform — the systems that connect PayZen to health systems and partners — on a weeks-long horizon, in an environment governed by HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2.

- 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems
- Ability to own a product surface end-to-end and work independently, seeking guidance on novel domains
- Reliable, high-quality craft with an AI-native approach to output
- Experience managing your own dependencies and escalating with context, not just problems
- Hands-on proficiency in at least one of Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript
- Clear written communication that helps stakeholders act, including non-engineering partners
