About the role
The Gas Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely scheduling of natural gas on the Westcoast Pipeline system. This position is responsible for assessing nominations, confirmations, capacity requirements, and customer imbalances while supporting contract administration activities and delivering exceptional customer service.
What they're looking for
- Meet all gas scheduling cycle deadlines in accordance with North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) requirements
- Execute daily gas scheduling activities accurately and efficiently to support uninterrupted pipeline operations
- Utilize the LINK gas management system to evaluate nominations, confirmations, scheduled quantities, and customer imbalances
- Monitor and manage capacity constraints, ensuring authorized capacity records remain accurate and current
- Communicate with account managers and customers regarding contract renewals, open season bids, assignment requests, and operational concerns
- Prepare new contracts, amendments, and assignments in accordance with business requirements

Gas Scheduling is an essential business function that provides coverage 12 hours per day, 365 days per year. This position requires participation in a shift schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
