About the role

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, producing accurate financial statements and dashboards for executive leadership
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets
  • Revenue Recognition: Manage deferred revenue and subscription-based revenue models, including residential and commercial broadband plans, installation fees, and equipment leases
  • Regulatory & Tax: Partner with external tax advisors to ensure timely filing of all corporate taxes, telecommunications-specific taxes (USF, state PUC fees), and property taxes related to network infrastructure
