About the role

As a Development Engineering Technician at Redwood Materials, you will have the opportunity to make the world a better place by supporting a wide variety of analytical /metallurgical processes across the Company. Under moderate supervision, a Development Engineering Technician will perform a variety of tasks, including building, monitoring, controlling, and optimizing chemical and metallurgical processes and unit operations in pilot, production, or laboratory environments.

What they're looking for

  • A.S. or B.S. degree in a related field
  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain relevant processing equipment
  • Ability and interest in assembling and fabricating process equipment to support operations
  • Experience with laboratory sample preparation and analysis
  • Familiarity of OSHA/MSHA rules and regulations and chemical hazards and industrial safety programs
  • Capability to work in challenging conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes for extended periods in full PPE suits and head covers
