About the role
Commercial Navigation helps fleets turn planned work into guided trips that are safe, efficient, and visible to the people running the operation. We build navigation inside the Samsara Driver app and the supporting experiences around it: mobile guidance on the road, session review for fleet managers, fuel-aware routing, and safety-focused improvements that show up where drivers actually drive.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of experience
- Proven experience shipping customer-facing software in production across multiple surfaces (e.g. mobile, web, and/or backend services), with depth in at least one and the ability to contribute effectively in the others
- Comfortable using AI development tools with judgment in day-to-day engineering
- Experience building mobile applications, including React Native. At Samsara we also use Swift and Kotlin for native modules and in-cab experiences
- Experience shipping and maintaining features over several years, demonstrating long-term ownership
