About the role
Pulse is the next-generation CMS for creating, scheduling, and managing content across fleets of screens. Our customers depend on Pulse to keep their screens updated, reliable, and easy to manage—whether they’re running a few displays or thousands.
What they're looking for
- Strong experience shipping production systems with TypeScript/Node.js across the stack
- Strong relational database fundamentals, especially Postgres : schema design, migrations, indexing, RLS, query performance, transactions, and data modelling tradeoffs
- Significant experience designing and building backend APIs with tools such as Fastify , Hono , Express, or similar frameworks, with strong opinions about API ergonomics and stability
- Experience with React/Next.js , including server components, client-side rendering, streaming, performance tradeoffs, and modern frontend architecture
- Strong architectural judgment: you know when to keep things simple, when to introduce abstraction, and how to make decisions that age well
- Experience operating production systems, including observability, incident response, release safety, and debugging distributed systems
