About the role

The Marine Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting customer acquisition by providing customer-facing technical expertise to the sales team. The Sales Engineer evaluates customer applications, develops the technical strategy for commercial proposals, and is accountable for driving Sales Department processes related to technical implementation of Sea Machines autonomy products.

  • Drive processes that support the Sales team and customers in technical autonomous vessel integration
  • Assist in executing post sales action items across Sales to Engineering, Procurement, Field Support Depts
  • Manage communications with suppliers and partners required for system integrations and interfaces
  • Work with internal product & engineering teams to validate product requirements
  • Support field demonstration efforts and organize sea trial events and customer exercises
  • Provide back up support to sales & marketing for promotional events

Title: Marine Sales Engineer

Position Overview

The Marine Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting customer acquisition by providing customer-facing technical expertise to the sales team. The Sales Engineer evaluates customer applications, develops the technical strategy for commercial proposals, and is accountable for driving Sales Department processes related to technical implementation of Sea Machines autonomy products.

Responsibilities include hardware scoping, providing customer installation guidance, interface strategy development, technical coordination with suppliers, and development of customer-specific solutions. The Sales Engineer will support customer training execution with the creation of technical training materials and media.

The individual must possess a strong understanding of marine propulsion machinery, vessel systems, and marine perception sensors, with the ability to translate customer operational requirements into practical technical solutions.
