About the role
Seasats designs and deploys unmanned surface vessels that operate at sea for months at a time. As we scale production, this role will design and own the manufacturing processes, documentation, and data that turn a validated design into a repeatable, high-quality build, from process routings and work instructions in our MES, that keep our lines running smoothly. What they're looking for
- A Bachelor’s degree or relevant coursework in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of relevant process engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment (aerospace, defense, or maritime industry a plus)
- Skilled at reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T
- Comfortable working with MES, ERP, or PLM systems to own process routings and documentation
- Proficient analyzing manufacturing data (Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or similar) to drive decisions
- Comfortable operating in a startup environment where processes may not be fully established, with enthusiasm for helping build solid foundations

- Designing and developing manufacturing processes, operation sequences, and process routings, and maintaining them in our MES
- Translating engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMs into clear, visual work instructions and standard operating procedures for production
- Identifying and implementing process controls that verify functional requirements and design intent, including methods to screen for potential failure modes
- Collecting and analyzing manufacturing data, such as cycle time, yield, and defect rates, to identify bottlenecks and prioritize continuous improvement
