What they're looking for
- Substantial experience (around 4-6 years) building, shipping, and maintaining production software
- Real backend services in Python (Django or similar), and the ability to write and optimize SQL under production loads
- Genuinely capable in React and TypeScript, with a sharp eye for UX polish and detail
- Experience working on products with active users - handling releases that can't break and data that must be protected
- Clear, effective written communication - how you articulate technical tradeoffs in pull requests matters to us!
- Nice to have: Experience with analytics or data-heavy products, multi-tenant architectures, or handling flaky, unpredictable third-party APIs
