About the role
The Insurance Regulatory Filing Consultant Trainee position will learn and work within the Corporate Underwriting Department State Filings and operations unit providing research and analysis of insurance statutes, monitoring and maintenance of regulatory circulars for property & casualty insurance lines, providing regulatory support to product management team and technology initiatives. - Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a focus in law, regulatory/compliance, risk management, business administration, CPCU or equivalent professional designation preferred
- Experience within the legal department of an insurance company, law firm, compliance unit, corporate underwriting unit, regulatory filing unit strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and research skills, ability to work and utilize research tools such as state and industry regulatory websites such as Westlaw, Oden, ISOnet preferred
- Familiarity with SERFF filing system
- Knowledge of a national rating bureau and independent state bureaus required
- Experience with compliance-related issues is a plus
