Delivering decisive capabilities for space superiority. Backed by Accel and Menlo.
About the role
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to grow within a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team. You will learn from experienced engineers as you help develop algorithms for modeling complex coupled physics including 6-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) rigid body dynamics, thermal systems, attitude dynamics and control, power systems, propulsion, and their interactions.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, physics, a similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Exposure to C++ (or a similar compiled language) through coursework, internships, personal projects, or research, familiarity with Python is a plus
- Foundational understanding of object-oriented software development practices, software testing practices, data structures and algorithms, and software design patterns
- Eagerness to learn quickly, ask questions, and take on new challenges with support from the team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance
More about this role
Space is a warfighting domain. True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build the technology that secures it.
OUR MISSION
True Anomaly delivers decisive capabilities for space superiority. We build autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors — enabling the U.S. and its Allies to secure the space environment and counter threats from the ultimate high ground.
OUR VALUES
- Be the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity.
- What would it take? We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results.
- It’s the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.
YOUR MISSION
Software is the central nervous system for True Anomaly's engineering and product thesis. Software bridges the gap between military objectives, theoretical physics, and the human and autonomous control of spacecraft and ground systems. True Anomaly is seeking an entry-level Spacecraft Simulation Software Engineer to help build and extend our spacecraft, constellation modeling, and simulation software with a focus on multi-physics, high-fidelity simulation.
